Pist.On, an American heavy metal and rock band from New York City, was formed in
1993 by Henry Font and Val.ium. The group released their first demo that same
year with Dave Femia on drums. In 1995, they contributed the song "Exhume Her"
to the sampler Metal Massacre XII. Pist.On signed with Fierce Recordings in May
1996 and released their debut album Number One, which included a cover of The
Smiths' "Shoplifters of the World Unite." The album was produced by Josh Silver
