Pizzicato Five

Japanese pop band, Pizzicato Five, was formed in Tokyo in 1984 by multi-instrumentalists Yasuharu Konishi and Keitarō Takanami. The group initially began as a quintet but evolved into a duo featuring Konishi and vocalist Maki Nomiya after several personnel changes in the late 1980s. Their first single, "The Audrey Hepburn Complex", was released on Haruomi Hosono's Non-Standard label (Teichiku Records) in 1985.
