Primo
Primo! is an Australian indie rock group formed in Melbourne in the early 2010s
by guitarist and vocalist Violetta DelConte Race and bassist Xanthe Waite. The
duo later added drummer Suzanne Walker and bassist Amy Hill. They released the
cassette Primo Cassetto in 2016 and the split single "Daphne/Virgin Song" with
LA Mood in 2017. Their album Amici was issued by Upset the Rhythm in 2018. In
2020, their second album Sogni was released by Upset the Rhythm and Anti Fade
Records, earning a 7.5/10 from Pitchfork and a 4.5/5 from AllMusic, and was
named Album of the Week by The Music.
