Python Lee Jackson, an Australian hard rock group formed in December 1965 in
Sydney, consisted of Frank Kennington and Mick Lieber from the United Kingdom,
along with David Montgomery on drums. The band's early lineup included Roy James
on bass guitar and featured former members of other notable groups such as Jeff
St John & the Id and the Denvermen. In March 1966, keyboard player Dave Bentley
joined, followed by Malcolm McGee as vocalist in June. Their first single,
