Arð is a British atmospheric doom metal band founded in 2019 by Mark Deeks,
known for his work with Winterfylleth. The solo project originated in Newcastle
upon Tyne, with the name Arð derived from an Old English word meaning 'homeland'
in the dialect of Northumbria. Their debut album, Take Up My Bones, released on
February 18, 2022, through Prophecy Productions, is conceptually based on the
history of Cuthbert of Lindisfarne's mortal remains and features contributions
from Dann Capp, Callum Cox, and Jo Quail. Arð's music is influenced by bands
