Rachael Sage, born Karen Rachael Weitzman in 1971 in Port Chester, New York, is
an American singer‑songwriter who began her career after studying drama at
Stanford and attending the School of American Ballet. She released her debut
album, Morbid Romantic, in 1996 on her own label MPress Records, followed by
albums like Illusion's Carnival (2002) and Delancey Street (2010). Sage earned a
2005 Independent Music Award for "Sacrifice" from Ballads & Burlesque and a 2011
