Rashid Khan, born राशिद खान on July 1, 1968 in Sahaswan, Badayun, Uttar Pradesh,
India, was an Indian classical musician known for his contributions to the
Hindustani tradition. He began his musical journey under the tutelage of his
maternal grand-uncle, Ustad Nisar Hussain Khan. His first concert at age eleven
marked the beginning of a prolific career. In 1980, he joined the ITC Sangeet
