Ray Bauduc
Ray Bauduc, who was born on June 18, 1906, in New Orleans, Louisiana, was an
American jazz drummer. In 1926 he moved to New York City, joined Joe Venuti’s
band, and recorded with the Original Memphis Five and the Scranton Sirens. His
breakthrough came with the Bob Crosby Orchestra from 1935 to 1942, with whom he
recorded the album Big Band Dixieland. During this period, he co-composed the
jazz standards "South Rampart Street Parade" (1937) and "Big Noise from
