Raymond Robert Repp, born September 17, 1942, in St. Louis, Missouri, was an
American singer-songwriter known for introducing folk music into Catholic
Masses. Educated in Catholic schools, including Seven Holy Founders Elementary
School and Kenrick Seminary, Repp released his first album, Mass for Young
Americans, in 1965, which formed the earliest stirrings of Contemporary
Christian music. His other releases include Allelu! (1966) and Come Alive
