Re-Flex, a British new wave band, was formed in Birmingham, England, in 1981.
The group initially consisted of John Baxter on vocals and lead guitar, Paul
Fishman on keyboards and backing vocals, François Craig on bass and vocals, John
Hodges on guitar, and Phil Gould on drums. Re-Flex's debut album, The Politics
of Dancing, was released in November 1983 by EMI Records. The title track became
an international hit in 1984, reaching the top 20 in several countries,
including number 24 in the United States and number 8 on the U.S. dance chart.
