behind the electronic music project Red 5. Initially a producer, Thomas Kukula
began his career in the early 1990s with projects such as General Base, T.H.K.,
and Candy Beat. In 1995 he founded Red 5 as a live‑dance act, and the single "Da
Beat Goes" released in 1996 propelled the group into the German Top 20, marking
