Reminisce
Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, born on February 26, 1981, in Kaduna, Nigeria, is a
Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actor from Ogun State. After an initial
recording in 2006, he returned to music in 2008 with a verse on 9ice’s
Bachelor’s Life and the single "Ever Since" featuring 9ice. His album Book of
Rap Stories was released in 2012, followed by Baba Hafusa (2015) and El-Hadj
(2016). His 2015 album Local Rappers, which featured Olamide and Phyno, sparked
controversy, with critics claiming that he was competing with English-language
rappers such as MI and Mode9.
