Renato Sellani, born on January 8, 1926 in Senigallia, Italy, was an Italian
jazz pianist and composer. He began his musical journey as a self-taught pianist
after moving to Rome to study political science. His career took off when he
joined the quintet of Gianni Basso and Oscar Valdambrini in 1954. In 1958,
Sellani became Chet Baker's first Italian pianist and moved to Milan. Throughout
his career, he accompanied notable artists such as Billie Holiday, Dizzy
Gillespie, Mina, Enrico Rava, Tony Scott, and Michela Lombardi. His solo album
