Richard M. Jones
Richard Marigny Jones, born in Donaldville, Louisiana, was an American musician
known for his contributions to jazz and blues. He started playing various
instruments at home and transitioned to piano after performing with brass bands.
By the early 1920s he moved to Chicago and began recording as a soloist and with
bands such as The Jazz Wizards. He released notable songs including "Trouble In
Mind" (1926) with Louis Armstrong on cornet. Jones worked as an A&R for Decca
