Rivka Zohar
Rivka Zohar, born Rivka Zinati on June 30, 1948, in Haifa, Israel, is an Israeli
singer of Moroccan descent. As a child, she appeared on Tshuot Rishonot, a radio
program for young talents. In 1967, Zohar auditioned for Lehakat HaNahal but was
not selected; however, she successfully auditioned for composer and producer
Ilan Mokhiah. During her military service, she performed with an accordionist
for the Israeli Navy, leading to the formation of Lehakat Heyl Hayam. With this
