Robie Lester
Roberta Lester, also known as Robie Lester, was born on March 23, 1925, in
Megargel, Texas, and was an American voice artist, actress, and singer. She
released early singles such as "Give / Too Late" (1955) on Liberty Records as
Roby Charmandy. In the early 1960s, she became a commercial voice, singing
Kellogg’s jingles and voicing characters like Toucan Sam’s nephews. In 1965, she
began narrating Disney’s Disneyland Story Reader series, becoming a familiar
