Robert Luke, born on March 20, 1942, in Los Angeles, California, is an American
rock and roll singer. While attending Punahou School in Honolulu, Hawaii, he was
discovered by entrepreneur Kimo Wilder McVay. In 1958, he wrote and recorded
"Susie Darlin'", a song inspired by his then five-year-old sister Susie. The
track reached number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 23 on the UK Singles
Chart, selling over 1 million copies and earning a gold disc. Robin Luke's first
four singles were released under the International Records label in Honolulu.
