Rocío Jurado
Spanish singer María del Rocío Mohedano Jurado, better known as Rocío Jurado,
was born on September 18, 1943, in Chipiona, Cádiz. Raised in a musical
household, she began performing publicly at a young age, eventually winning
local radio contests and earning the nickname "The Girl of the Awards." After
years of honing her craft, her career took off in the 1960s, initially with a
