Crowell (born in Crosby, Texas, on August 7, 1950) is a recognized figure. His
early career was marked by his membership of Emmylou Harris's Hot Band, from
1975 to 1977, for whom he continued to write regularly thereafter. Married to
Rosanne Cash in 1979, the couple divorced in 1991, but reunited from time to
time. His personal career, which began in 1978 with the album Ain't Living Long
