Roger Glover
Mainly a bassist and producer, Welshman Roger Glover is inextricably linked with
the history of Deep Purple. He was part of the MK II (Mark II) line-up, which
produced the band's three masterpieces from 1969 to 1973: In Rock (1970),
Machine Head and Made in Japan (1972). He also wrote and produced one of the
most unexpected rock albums of the seventies, The Butterfly Ball and the
Grasshopper's Feast, a psychedelic children's tale featuring the famous "Love Is
