Roger Webb
Roger Webb (1934–2002) was a British jazz pianist and composer from Bristol.
Webb was a self-taught musician who began performing during his national service
with the Royal Air Force in Egypt. Upon returning to Britain, he led the Roger
Webb Trio (1963–1965) and worked as a music director for West End theatres.
During this period, Webb collaborated with Vera Lynn, Bette Davis, and Shirley
Bassey. In the 1970s, Webb became a prolific composer of library music and film
scores, including One Brief Summer (1970) and The Godsend (1980). He composed
