Ron van den Beuken was born in 1970 in Meterik, the Netherlands, and became a DJ
and electronic‑music producer. After studying at the Conservatory in Maastricht
and law at university, he entered the dance scene in the late 1990s with the
track "Feel it" from the project 8‑Hands, which quickly gained club popularity.
His next single "Keep it Up" entered the Scandinavian top ten. In 1999 he
released the trance track "C’est Musique" as Shane, followed by the widely
