Roper were a Christian pop-punk band formed in Denver, Colorado. The group
consisted of Reese Roper on lead vocals, Jonathan Byrnside on lead guitar, Matt
"Emo" Emmett on rhythm guitar, Jonathan Till on bass, and Nick White on drums.
Before forming Roper, Reese Roper was the lead singer of Five Iron Frenzy and
had a short-lived project called Guerilla Rodeo. Roper's debut album, Brace
Yourself for the Mediocre, was released in March 2005 under Five Minute Walk
Records. The album featured additional musicians due to the incomplete state of
