Canadian singer-songwriter Ruth Berhe (July 2, 1995), known professionally as
Ruth B., was born in Edmonton, Alberta, to Ethiopian parents. She began posting
short cover performances online in 2013 while attending MacEwan University,
which she later left to pursue music full-time. Her breakthrough came with “Lost
Boy,” a song developed from a short clip she posted online and released as her
debut single in 2015. It reached number 14 on the Canadian Hot 100 and appeared
