Ryo Yamaguchi, known professionally as RYO the SKYWALKER, was born on 2 January 1974 in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, and is a singer specializing in world music. He began his musical journey after visiting Jamaica in 1994, returning to Japan to work as a DJ and releasing his debut 7‑inch single "Genba Shijyo Syugi" that same year.
