Sandra St Victor
Sandra Kay Matthews, known professionally as Sandra St. Victor, was an American
singer-songwriter born on May 28, 1963. She attended Booker T. Washington High
School for the Performing and Visual Arts. St. Victor began her career with a
local band in Dallas before moving to New York in the early 1980s. There, she
joined Roy Ayers' band Ubiquity and later toured with Chaka Khan. In 1986, she
met producers Peter Lord and Jeffrey Smith, leading to the formation of The
