Songwriter, composer and performer Sarah Ngalula Ngalamulume, aka Sarah Lula,
was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo, on October 1, 1992. Her
destiny took shape at an early age, when she sang in the church choir and was
supported by her aunt, Tshala Muana, a great Congolese artist and queen of
mutwashi, a traditional musical style. For nine years, she accompanied her aunt
on stage before setting out on her own. In 2018, she imposed her style by
