Scott William Matthew, also known as Scott Matthew, was born in Queensland,
Australia, and is a singer-songwriter. He began his musical journey in various
Brisbane punk rock groups before relocating to Sydney, where he formed the band
Nicotine. In 2001, he was a member of the alternative pop band Elva Snow with
Spencer Cobrin. After Elva Snow disbanded, he released his debut solo album,
Scott Matthew, in 2008, followed by There Is an Ocean That Divides and With My
Longing I Can Charge It with a Voltage That's So Violent to Cross It Could Mean
