Born in Baltimore, Maryland, on July 9, 1988, Jonathan Josiah Wise aka
Sepentwithfeet grew up in a religious family and sang gospel music as a child.
He directed a choir and also studied classical music and opera at Philadelphia
University, before turning away to emerge on the soul scene. After a stint in
Paris, he moved to New York and signed with the Tri Angle label, which released
his debut EP Blisters (2015), with the collaboration of producer Haxan Cloak.
