musician known for a blend of traditional Anatolian bardic music and Western
influences. After engineering studies at Hacettepe University in Ankara,
Kocakaya began a professional music career. The debut album Keke (1999)
showcased a fusion of styles, drawing inspiration from artists like Neşet Ertaş
