Shabjdeed
Oday Abbas, known professionally as Shabjdeed, and born in Jerusalem, is a
Palestinian rapper. He entered the music scene in 2017 with the studio album
Carlo, followed by Hmlana in 2018. His breakthrough came with the 2019 single
"Mtaktak" alongside Al Nather, which was later cited by BBC critic Ma'an Abu
Taleb as one of the "greatest hip-hop songs of all time". Shabjdeed released the
album Sindibad al Ward in 2019. He remained active through collaborations with
the BLTNM collective and participated in a Burberry campaign in August 2020.
