Shanky
Rap doesn't have to be about showmanship and bad boys. Originally from
Martinique and based in Le Mans (Sarthe) since 1994, Shanky's rap is modest and
quiet. Shanky struggled until 2001 with his group Boograz, before going solo.
After many ups and downs, in 2009 Shanky released the album Illuminati under the
name Shanky Shewba.K. Rap, reggae, electro and Caribbean influences are on the
menu. Now working on contract for the town of Le Mans, Shanky passes on his art
in writing workshops, although he can't make a living from it. At the end of
2012, Shanky released the album Sonnent ...
