Shape of Despair
Shape of Despair, a Finnish doom metal band, was founded in 1995 as Raven by
Jarno Salomaa, Tomi Ullgrén, and Toni "Otso" Mäensivu. After recording a demo in
1998, the group changed their name to Shape of Despair and released their debut
album Shades of... in 2000 under Spikefarm Records. Their second album, Angels
of Distress, followed in 2001 with Pasi Koskinen on lead vocals. After a hiatus,
they released the EP Written in My Scars and a split EP with Before The Rain in
