Shawn Christopher
Shawn Christopher, born in Chicago, Illinois, is an American singer known for
her contributions to electronic music. Her early career began as a touring
backing vocalist for R&B singer Chaka Khan from 1982 to 1985. During this
period, she also collaborated with the industrial dance band My Life with the
Thrill Kill Kult and the group Sonia Dada. Her breakthrough came in 1989 when
she sang lead vocals on "French Kiss" by DJ/producer Lil Louis, which reached
