Shinichiro Yokota, born on July 12, 1969 in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese DJ
and record producer. Influenced by Yellow Magic Orchestra and hip-hop music, he
began producing beats in the late 1980s. His music featured a minimalist style
that blended electronic music genres such as downtempo, deep house, and tech
house. In 1990, Yokota co-founded Far East Recording with Soichi Terada,
releasing their debut album Far East Recording in 1992. After a hiatus from
music, Yokota returned in 2016 with the album Do It Again and Again, bolstered
