SHISHAMO
Shishamo are an all-female J-pop band from Japan formed in 2012 in Kawasaki by
former school friends vocalist and guitarist Asako Miyazaki, drummer Misaki
Yoshikawa and bassist Aya Matsumoto, who left in 2014 to be succeeded by Aya
Matsuoka. They released a singles compilation, 'Sotsugyo Seisaku', in 2013 and
toured the nation. Their self-titled debut album also came out in 2013 and four
more volumes have had growing success with 'Shishamo 5' (2018) reaching number
three on the Japan albums chart.
