Siavash Ghomeishi, born on June 11, 1945 in Ahvaz, Iran, is an Iranian
singer-songwriter and musician. He began composing at age 12 and studied music
in London, performing with bands like the Avengers and the Insects. Returning to
Iran at 25, Ghomeishi composed for prominent artists such as Ebi, Moein,
Googoosh, Aref, Mansour, Leila Forouhar, and Shohreh Solati. His first song,
"Ghayeghran" (Boatman), was written for Zia when he was 13. In the late 1970s,
