Taken by the need to exorcise her heroin addiction through writing in 2007,
Nikki Sixx wrote The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star
. Nikki Sixx naturally followed up the project with the album The Heroin Diaries
Soundtack, also in 2007. For the occasion, he formed Sixx: A.M. with James
Michael (vocals) and DJ Ashba (guitar). Encouraged by the success of The Heroin
