An Italian humor rock band, Skiantos was a forerunner of the punk movement.
Formed in Bologna in 1975 by Roberto "Freak" Antoni and three other singers, it
evolved with new musicians including guitarist Fabio "Dandy Bestia" Testoni
(guitar), with an experimental first album recorded in one night, Inascoltable,
released in 1977, amid a repertoire consisting mainly of covers. The band's
provocative happenings drew a loyal following of fans, who turned out in force
for the album Mono Tono (1978), followed by a performance at the Bologna Punk
