Smiler
Joseph Bartlett‑Vanderpuye, born in Greenwich, London, United Kingdom, is a
British rapper and actor known as Smiler. He first emerged on the UK rap scene
with the mixtape Da Musical Omnibus in 2009, followed by the single "Enza" in
2010. After a collaboration with producer Jakwob on "Right Beside You" in 2011,
he signed with Warner Music UK and released "Delorean" in 2012. His 2013 single
"Brand New Style" incorporated vocals from Ed Sheeran. Bartlett‑Vanderpuye
expanded into screen acting, with appearances in The Diamond Heist, MobLand,
Slow Horses, and Cardinal Burns.
