Sons of Funk, a contemporary R&B and hip‑hop collective from Richmond,
California, emerged in 1997 when the group-comprising members Zo Dez and Jerry
Rico-signed with No Limit Records under Master P, marking their entry into the
national scene. Their breakthrough came with the single "Pushin' Inside You"
