Soulounge, a German band, was founded in 2001 by Sven Bünger and Bela
Brauckmann, featuring Astrid North, Susanne Vogel, and Thomas Werner, with
various guest musicians over the years. Their debut album, The Essence of the
Live Event, was released in 2003, followed by Home in 2004 and Say It All in
2006. Soulounge became known for their live performances at Berlin's Quasimodo
club and collaborations with notable artists such as Ayọ and Roger Cicero. The
band disbanded in December 2010 but was revived by Sven Bünger in 2017 with new
members.
