Spiritual Kvintet, a Czech folk band, was formed in 1960 by Jiří Tichota and others. The group quickly established itself as a significant figure in Czech music culture. Their breakthrough came with the release of Písničky z roku raz dva (1972), which marked their early success. Throughout the 1980s, Spiritual Kvintet released several influential albums, including Šlapej dál (1986), which sold over 130,000 copies and became a cultural milestone in Czech music history.
