Spitalfield was formed in Chicago, Illinois, in 1998 by vocalist Mark Rose, drummer Drew Brown, guitarist Daniel Lowder, bassist T.J. Minich, and guitarist Terry Hahin. The group first attracted attention with The Cloak & Dagger Club EP released in 2002, followed by the single “I Loved the Way She Said ‘L.A.’” in 2003. In 2003 they released their debut album Remember Right Now, followed by Stop Doing Bad Things (2005) and Better Than Knowing Where You Are (2006).
