SPK was formed in Sydney, Australia in 1978 by Graeme Revell, who served as
keyboardist and percussionist. The group’s early work emerged from a
collaboration with Neil Hill, and they released a series of 7" singles in 1979,
including "No More", "Factory" and "Mekano", which established their
experimental industrial sound. In 1980 the band relocated to London, where they
recorded their debut album Information Overload Unit (1981) on Side Effects, a
release that garnered attention within the early industrial scene. Subsequent
