Steep Canyon Rangers
Hailing from Brevard, North Carolina, the band Steep Canyon Rangers has
revolutionized the bluegrass genre with its innovative and contemporary
approach. The group, formed in 1999 by Woody Platt (vocals, guitar), Graham
Sharp (banjo), and Charles H. Humphrey III (bass), expanded with the addition of
Mike Guggino (mandolin) in 2000, followed by Nick Sanders (violin) in 2004.
After a self-produced debut album, *Old Dreams & New Dreams* (2001), *Mr.
Taylor’s New Home* (2002) was released on the independent label Bonfire Records,
before the band signed with Rebel Records for the subs...
