Steve Gulley, born September 20, 1962 in Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, was an
American singer-songwriter known for his contributions to bluegrass music. He
began his career as a cast member at the Renfro Valley Barn Dance in Kentucky,
performing from the early 1980s through 1994. His breakthrough came when
bluegrass artist Doyle Lawson offered him a position as lead singer and
guitarist in the band Quicksilver, where he performed from 1994 to 1996.
