Su-a Lee is a cellist born in Seoul, South Korea, known for her work across
classical music, contemporary music, Scottish traditional music, and jazz. At
nine, she received a full scholarship to Chetham's School of Music in
Manchester. In 1988, Lee was awarded another full scholarship to study at the
Juilliard School in New York, graduating in 1992. She became a member of the
Scottish Chamber Orchestra in 1993 and was appointed assistant principal cellist
