Such A Surge was founded in 1992 in Braunschweig, Lower Saxony, and was one of
the first German bands to successfully combine rap-rock, metal and hip-hop. The
band consisted of Oliver Schneider (vocals), Michel Begeame (vocals), Lutz Buch
(guitar), Axel Horn (bass) and Carsten "Antek" Rudo (drums). Their music
combined elements of rap, punk, hardcore and metal, with lyrics written partly
in German, partly in English and French. Their first album Under Pressure (1995)
reached number 42 in the German charts and made the band famous in the
