Alison Anne Cadogan, better known as Susan Cadogan, born 2 November 1951 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a reggae singer whose career began in the mid‑1970s after a childhood spent partly in Belize and a stint as an assistant librarian at the University of the West Indies, Mona. Her breakthrough came when Lee Scratch Perry recorded her first single, "Hurt So Good", for his Perries label; the track was later released by the UK label DIP International, topped the UK reggae chart, and reached number 4 on the UK Singles Chart under Magnet Records in 1975, bringing her wide recognition.
